Since I’m on the waitlist for this class, oh and poor, I haven’t gotten the book. In class, I was thinking about how I’d write the narrative about going to the bookstore and (reluctantly) giving them my credit card. Then I realized, if I don’t get into the class, why would I spend my money on this book that I’ll never open otherwise?
So instead of going to the bookstore and getting the book, I went along with my day. I went to the other class (of course a GE) that I have to have in order to graduate, (damn advisors telling me a week before Spring classes ended!) and was thoroughly bored out of my mind listening to a lecture about food. I eat; I know about food, I even look at the labels when I’m buying stuff, yay. And after driving the 45 minutes home, I stopped at the Post Office to get a passport; no I’m not going anywhere specifically it’s just in case.
Then, finally, I started looking on Google Books to figure out whether or not it is in fact, in its entirety, online. Not all of it is there, but a good amount is (for all you other poor students out there…it seems like the majority of the book is online!). So, awesome, looks like I can get by with minimal spendage, and here’s hoping I officially get into this class! (People, start dropping please!)
(And this is the fourth time I've tried to publish this! This is why I've never blogged! haha)

I wished I had read your blog sooner. I bought the book and I am poor! I put it on my credit card and there are no refunds. boo!
I hate life on the waitlist... I hope you're able to get into the class!
I hope that you will get into this class. I also tried to publish blog couple of times and finally I was able to because my friend helped me haha.
Sometimes the blog features don't work on certain browsers; I occasionally have to switch between Firefox and Safari to publish or edit posts. I suppose the whole internet is a work in progress....
